In Loving Memory Of

It Was A Sudden Parting

It was a sudden parting,
Too painful to forget,
Those who loved you dearly,
Are the ones who love you yet.

We often sit and think of you,
And remember how you died,
How sad we could not say goodbye,
Before you closed your eyes.

Your life was one of kindly deeds,
A helping hand for other's needs,
Sincere and true in heart and mind,
Beautiful memories you left behind.

The blow was hard, the shock severe,
To part with one we loved so dear;
Our loss is great, but we'll not complain,
We'll trust in God to meet again.

Two tired eyes are sleeping,
Two willing hands are still,
The one who worked so hard for us,
Is now resting at God's will.

Our family chain is broken,
Nothing is quite the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The links shall join again. .
