My Heart Is Yours
I am my beloved's,
and my beloved is mine:
Song of Solomon 6:3
You are mine, my darling husband,
The one my heart adores.
From the start, I knew I wanted you,
And I knew my heart was yours.
My heart is yours, and has always been,
Since the first time our lips met,
I knew you were someone special,
That I never would forget.
I loved the way you looked at me,
The way you held me close;
The way you looked inside my heart,
And saw what I needed most.
You gave me the love I always wanted,
Made me feel safe, and loved, and warm;
My companion in all of life’s happiness,
My shelter in all of life’s storms.
I gave you my heart, and you gave yours,
And together we’ve made it through,
So I just want to remind you today,
How very much I love you.
My heart has been yours always,
And forevermore it will be,
I’ll love you for a lifetime,
And throughout eternity!
Happy Anniversary, Harold!
