Dearest Harold,

I remember back when we were young,
And just beginning our life together,
With no idea what the future would hold,
Just wanting our love to last forever.

We made our home, and changed our home,
And watched our children grow and play;
With love and laughter to see us through,
We withstood many a stormy day.

We had our ups and downs, it's true,
Lived and loved, and laughed and cried,
But whether we faced good times or bad,
We stood together, side by side.

That wasn't always an easy thing to do,
But somehow, we were able to do it,
I'm so thankful for your love and care,
We always managed to get though it.

Our children grew up, their children too,
They've made our lives so fulfilling,
And maybe we'll have great-grandchilren,
If the good Lord is willing.

So now in the twilight of our lives,
Our love has become dearer still,
So my dear, I just want to say,
I love you, Harold, and always will!

52 years and counting, praise God!
Happy Anniversary, my love!
