End The Abomination!

This year marks the thirtieth anniversary of the legalized murder of helpless, innocent babies. In a landmark decision thirty years ago, the highest court in this country decided that killing one's own baby prior to birth was permissable by law. A terrible abomination, worse than the Holocaust, was made legal at that time. Since that time, more than 40 million babies have been legally murdered in this country.

Pro-choice advocates said it was good, that a woman has the right to decide what happens to her own body. The trouble with that argument is so obvious, it's hard to believe the Supreme Court could have possibly overlooked it: Even supposing a woman does have the right to decide what happens to her own body, IT'S NOT HER OWN BODY SHE IS KILLING!!! It is a tiny, helpless unborn infant. Not a "product of conception", as the abortionists say, or a "glob of tissue". They use these euphemisms to obscure the fact that babies are being killed, in the name of women's right to choose. How could anyone call that good? The Bible says:

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)

We know now that the decisions that were handed down in the two landmark cases that ended up legalizing abortion were based on nothing but lies. The woman in "Roe v. Wade" lied to her lawyer. The lawyers filing the original suits of "Roe v. Wade" and "Doe v. Bolton" lied to both of these women involved in the suits. The lawyers lied to the courts in the suits they filed. They weren't seeking the good of the women they represented. They had their own agenda, their own self-serving motivations for filing these suits.

The executive director of the National Coalition of Abortion Providers has admitted how he lied about the number of partial birth abortions performed late in pregnancy, and about the reasons they were performed. The founders of the abortion rights group NARAL lied about the numbers of women seeking and dying from illegal abortions. The number wasn't in the thousands, like they said. In fact, in 1972, the year before this abomination was passed into law, there were 39 women who died as a result of illegal abortions. Thirty Nine. Not thousands.

The pro-choice groups were so anxious to further their cause that they lied about the horrors of the actual abortion procedures, and about the risks to the women having any of these procedures. They lied about both psychological and physical harm to the mothers, both immediate and long term.

The abomination of abortion was passed into law based on a series of lies. And because of those lies, there is a baby killed in this country every 20 seconds. That's right--- every twenty seconds. Over forty three hundred babies die each and every day in abortion clinics in this country. And they are killed in such brutal ways that the entire nation should be crying out in protest.

If you are a woman who has had an abortion, I am so sorry. My heart breaks for you, for you are a victim, too, whether you realize it or not. A victim of deception, lies, and political manuevering. We know now the guilt and depression that post-abortive women live with. Women were lied to about whether or not the fetus was actually a living baby, lied to about the after-effects of the abortion, lied to about the brutality of the procedure itself. No one can possibly make sound decisions when the information available to them is all lies. There is help and healing and forgiveness available to you. Our Heavenly Father loves the sinner, even while hating the sin, and we can do no less. The links below are to places where you can find the healing and forgiveness that you need and want. There are alternatives to abortion. That's something else the abortionists don't want people to know. The numbers themselves speak clearly: there are 1.5 million abortions in this country each year, while there are over 2 million couples wanting to adopt children! If you are pregnant and even considering abortion, there are places to get help. Check the Crisis Pregnancy Centers in your local telephone book. Also visit these organizations whose sole purpose is to help with unplanned pregnancies and save the lives of unborn babies.

Life and death are the province of the pure and holy Creator. His choices are not motivated by self-serving egotism, hidden agendas, or greed. We have gone too far, and it's time to turn around. We have to end the abomination of legalized abortion in this country. It is the worst thing in the entire history of this country. If Hitler were killing 1.5 million Jews EVERY YEAR, we would never allow such a thing, and rightly so. Yet somehow we allow the killing of the most innocent and helpless members of our society.

If we do not uphold the sanctity of human life on every level, it will not be upheld on any level. Each year we see the sanctity of life being eroded more and more, with things like euthanasia, assisted suicide, and cloning of human cells becoming quite common and accepted.

There are many things that each of us can do to stop the brutality of abortion. First and foremost, pray! Then write to your legislators. Let your voice be heard. Visit the National Right To Life Committee, a movement that upholds the sanctitiy of human life on every level. Their methods involve legislative action and public education, not violence and hatred like those who would bomb abortion clinics.
