We do not have any idea what kind of battle may be going on in heaven when we face our times of attack, trial, and temptation. We may never know until we reach glory what was at stake in our struggles. But we don't have to. It is enough to know that He is in control. It is enough to know that He will work this out for our good and His glory! (see Romans 8:28)

We know we are embattled by a powerful enemy, not mere flesh and blood. But we also know that God provided all the weapons we need to defend ourselves and gain victory.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:13-18)

When we are embattled, remember that that God will give us the victory! He will do His part; we just have to do ours. We need to learn to put on the full armor of God, and stand firm against the wiles and snares of the enemy. God never tells us we have to fight the battle alone; His Word tells us to dig in, stand firm, and hold our ground! There may be much more at stake in this battle than we know!
