| A Letter From My Grandpa, On His First Christmas In Heaven
I see the countless Christmas trees Around the world below With tiny lights like heaven's stars, Reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, Please wipe away that tear For I am spending Christmas With Jesus Christ this year,
I hear the many Christmas songs That people hold so dear But the sounds of music can't compare With the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you Of the joy their voices bring, For it is beyond description To hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, For I feel your breaking heart But through our memories so dear We're never far apart.
I can't tell you of the splendor Or the peace here in this place Can you just imagine Christmas With our Savior face to face?
I'll ask him to lift your spirit As I tell him of your love; So then pray for one another As you lift your eyes above.
Please let your hearts be joyful, And let your spirit sing For I'm spending Christmas in heaven, And I'm walking with the King.

"Rise Again" is a beautiful song that the pastor sung at Grandpa's funeral.
This song is the very essence of the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
The words are so touching that I decided to include them here.
RISE AGAIN Go ahead, drive the nails in My hands Laugh at me where you stand. Go ahead, and say it isn't Me; The day will come when you will see.
'Cause I'll rise..... again; Ain't no power on earth can keep Me down! Yes, I'll rise...... again; Death can't keep Me in the ground.
Go ahead, mock My name; My love for you is still the same. Go ahead, and bury Me; But very soon, I will be free!
'Cause I'll rise....... again; Ain't no power on earth can keep Me down! Yes, I'll rise........ again; Death can't keep Me in the ground.
Go ahead, and say I'm dead and gone, But you will see that you were wrong. Go ahead, try to hide the Son; But all will see that I'm the One!
'Cause I'll come........ again! Ain't no power on earth can keep me back! Yes, I'll come...... again; Come to take My people back.

I'd like to thank the author of this beautiful poem, Wanda Bencke. We buried my beloved grandfather on Dec. 23, 2002, and as we were leaving the cemetery, one of the workers there pressed this poem into my mother's hand. My grandpa was a wonderful Christian man, and I know he is with Jesus, enjoying all the splendors of heaven, and experiencing firsthand the true meaning of Christmas.
I also want to thank for allowing his beautiful artwork to be used by graphics designers to make beautiful graphics like this one. I've used several sets that feature his art, and am very thankful that he shares his God-given talents so freely.
And finally, my sincere thanks to for designing beautiful sets such as these and allowing people like me to use them free of charge. My website wouldn't be possible without people like these, and I am so grateful to them. God bless you all!.
(And a very special thank you to Bev, for the beautiful memorial plaque she made with Grandpa's name at the top of this set!)
