~ He Lives~

Jesus Lives Today

But if the Spirit of Him
that raised up Jesus from
the dead dwell in you, He
that raised up Christ from
the dead shall also quicken
your mortal bodies by His
Spirit that dwells in you.
Romans 8:11

They crucified my Lord on Calvary,
Then placed Him in a borrowed grave,
But Jesus Christ was resurrected,
So that sinners like myself could be yet saved.

Yes, I know that my Redeemer lives,
From sin’s dark curse to set me free.
Jesus is not dead, He is still alive today,
I know, because He lives in me!

I need never worry o’er life’s problems,
He gives me peace I cannot understand,
I know in every trial or tribulation,
He holds me in His nail-scarred hand.

I know He’s coming back to get me,
To take me to a home on God’s bright shore,
Yes, I have a mansion there in heaven,
To live in peace and joy forevermore.

I thank God for all the ways He’s changed me,
I’ve been different from the very start,
I know that my Redeemer saved me,
And now He lives within my heart!
