Thank You For Loving Me

We love him, because he
first loved us. 1 John 4:19

I kneel before Your mercy seat,
To lay my sins all at Your feet.
Just pleading for Your grace, so sweet ---
Thank You for loving me.

Because I know You died for me,
And paid the debt to set me free;
You gave me life, abundantly----
Thank You for loving me.

I try to live for You the best I can,
But You know I am but mortal man;
Then I come to You, just as I am----
Thank You for loving me.

Dear Lord, please make me wholly Thine,
Cleanse my heart, my life, my mind;
And place Your nail-scarred hand on mine----
Thank You for loving me.

Pour out on me Your precious grace,
To stay the course, finish the race;
Till the day I see You face to face----
Thank You for loving me.
