He Took The Blame

But He was wounded for our
transgressions, He was bruised
for our iniquities;
the chastisement of our peace
was upon Him; and with His
stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5

For all our shame
Christ took the blame,
To redeem lost, sinful man;
For us He died,
Was crucified,
As God's salvation plan.

For all our vice,
He paid the price,
Which we could never pay;
He brought us love,
From up above
And showed us all the Way.

He loved us so,
Oh, don't you know
Our sins can be forgiven;
And can't you see
That He's the key?
Through Him, we've hope of heaven!

His gift is free
For you and me,
Please take it while you may;
Don't wait too late,
And seal your fate
On that sad judgment day.

Those who believe
Will each receive
The blessings of life eternal;
But they who choose
Their souls to lose
Will feed the fires infernal.

So don't delay,
Please choose today;
Eternity you are deciding:
Torment everlasting,
Or joy unsurpassing,
If in Jesus you are abiding.
