A CHILD OF THE KING
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of
God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if
so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Romans 8:16,17
I have neither honor, nor riches, Not much of any earthly thing; But still, you can call me a princess, Because I'm a child of the King!
That's right! I've a Heavenly Father, The King of all Kings is my Lord. And though I have little in this world, In heav'n, I've a kingly reward.
First, I've got a jeweled crown of glory, And rich robes of soft, purest white. Life will be one heavenly story, Basking in my dear Savior's light.
And I have a mansion in heaven, A palace beyond all compare; My Jesus prepared a place for me, And He's waiting for me up there!
So please, don't think I'm just a pauper, Though I haven't got anything, Still, you can say I am a princess, Because I'm a child of the King!
