Why Do We Worry?
I will lift up mine eyes unto
the hills, from whence cometh
my help. My help My help cometh
from the LORD, which made
heaven and earth. He will not
suffer thy foot to be moved:
he that keepeth thee will not
slumber. Psalm 121:1-3
So often we brood and worry,
With wrinkled brow, and troubled frown,
When our trials and tribulations
Have worn our spirits down.
Why do we let all life's problems
Cause us so much worry and fuss?
We should cast our burdens on Him,
Because He cares for us!
When we read the Holy Scriptures,
His word to us is very clear:
He tells us there, so many times,
Not to worry, or to fear.
We should place our trust in Jesus,
Because we know His word is true;
We know that our Lord is able,
And He will see us through.
Yes, Jesus Christ can do for us,
Exceeding, abundantly more
Than all we ask, or even think;
So what do we worry for?
If we'd only learn to trust Him,
Our troubles would all melt away;
We'd walk in peace, and joy, and love,
With Jesus, everyday!
