I don't want rewards on earth,
From man, so freely given;
I'm working for God's kingdom---
My rewards will be in heaven!
Just keep those plaques and trophies,
I'm toiling for my Lord;
To hear Him say "Well done, my child!"
Will be my sweet reward.
Give me no pins or medals,
To wear upon my chest;
I labor for my Savior,
The One whom I love best.
He loved me so, He bled and died;
He shed His blood for me,
That I might have abundant life,
And live eternally.
So all I do, I do for Him,
I do not seek man's praise;
My reward will be in glory,
When I see my Savior's face!
