Happy Birthday, Mama
Today is your birthday, dearest Mother, And we wish we could see you today, But you aren’t here for us to see, You’re in heaven, up there far away.
We brought you these beautiful flowers, Just like we did when you were here, To celebrate your very special day, But it's kind of hard, this year.
Oh, we know the heavenly choir will sing “Happy Birthday” to you this year, And we know you’ll have a wonderful day, But we still have to wipe away a tear,
Because we still long to have you with us, To once again give you a hug and a kiss. Your beautiful smile, and sweet laughter Are the things we forever will miss.
So happy birthday in heaven, dear Mama, Where you’re happy and joyful each day, Just remember, we love you and miss you, And we’ll see you again, one fine day!
