This is the day that the Lord has made,
Each day is His gift just for you,
A fresh beginning, a brand new start,
Because Jesus makes all things new.

His mercies are new every morning,
And His grace is sufficient, you know;
He walks beside you every day,
Wherever you may have to go.

Enjoy this day, and use it well,
Don’t waste the time you’ve been given:
Use it to show love to all you meet,
To give them a glimpse of heaven.

Cherish your loved ones every day,
Always give them your very best,
Help another as you go on life's way,
For you'll be the one who is blessed!

God has a plan for your life here on earth,
A purpose for you to fulfill;
This is the day that the Lord has made,
Obey Him, and seek His will.

Then when your days here are finished,
Nevermore on this old earth to roam,
You'll finally hear those precious words:
“Well done, my child – welcome home!”
