Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature: old things
are passed away; behold, all
things are become new. (2 Cor. 5:17)

I touched the hand of Jesus,
As I sank in that sin-filled sea,
Stretching out His nail-scarred hand,
He reached down and rescued me.

He saved me from my wicked ways,
Which I had known so well,
He raised me up and changed my life,
And saved my soul from hell.

Yes, Jesus Christ, God’s only Son,
Gave His life to ransom me;
Though I had been a slave to sin,
With His blood He me free.

Jesus came into my life that day,
Never to leave me all alone;
He's prepared a mansion in glory,
A beautiful heavenly home.

He redeemed me from the darkness,
He paid the price for all my sin;
So because of His great love for me,
Now each day I live for Him.

Yes, I touched the hand of Jesus,
Who took away my sin and shame,
He wrote my name in the book of Life,
All glory to His precious name!
