Sharing The Word

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

I'm so glad you stopped by to share a little bit of God's love. While you're here, I hope that you will be spiritually refreshed, with renewed hope, and an overwhelming sense of God's presence in your heart and in your life. My goal is to glorify God, and share the wonderful message of salvation, to uplift you, and to provide prayer support for those who request it.

"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Ps. 118:24

Are you glad today? If you are, then give God the praise and the glory He so richly deserves for the many blessings He has given you. If you aren't glad, why aren't you? You are alive today, aren't you? Countless thousands died last night as a result of violence, illness, or accidents. We should rejoice in this life we have, for there are no guarantees, as we learned on September 11th. The Bible says:

"Whereas you do not know what shall happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away." James 14:4
"Behold! I stand at the door and knock; if any man hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Rev.3:20

Won't you open the door, and ask Jesus into your heart, to be your Lord and Savior today? The Bible says:

"....Behold--- Now is the accepted time; behold---Now is the day of salvation" II Cor. 6:2

There is no fancy ritual you have to go through to invite Jesus into your heart. It is as simple as recognizing three little facts:

1.) You are a sinner, I am a sinner, we are all sinners. The Bible says:

"For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." Rom. 3:23
and also:
"As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one." Rom.3:10

2.) There is a penalty for our sin, that we should have to pay. The Bible says:

"For the wages of sin is death...." Rom. 6:23
and also:
"....The soul that sins, it shall die." Ez. 18:4

3.) Jesus has already paid the price for our sins; in other words, He took the punishment that should have been ours. The Bible says:

"For He has made him to be sin for us,who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." II Cor.5:21
and also:
"In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins." Col. 1:14

Having accepted these three facts, you must repent of your sinfulness. Repentence is more than merely being sorry for our sinfulness; it means turning away from our sinful ways. Or, as a young child put it, "Repentence means not just being sorry for our sins, but being sorry enough to quit sinning!" The Bible says:

"From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt.4:17

The last, and most important thing you have to do is BELIEVE what the Bible says: that even though you are a sinner and deserve to die for your sinfulness, that God saved you by sending His son Jesus Christ to pay the price for your sins. The Bible says:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

All you have to do to invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior right now is pray a simple and heartfelt prayer, like this:

Dear God, I know that I am a sinner, and deserve to be punished for my sins. I also realize that Jesus Christ is your only Son, and He died on the cross to pay for my sins, and was resurrected on the third day. I am sorry for my sins, and I want to turn away from my sinfulness and accept Jesus as my Savior, and make Him Lord of my life. I believe in your word, and thank you for saving me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

That's all there is to it! If you believe what God has told us in His word, the Holy Bible, and if you prayed this prayer sincerely, then YOU ARE NOW SAVED !!! You are a member of God's family, your sins are forgiven, and you have received the gift of ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ !!! The Bible says:

"Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believes in me has everlasting life." John 6:47
and also:
"For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Rom. 10:10

If you have prayed this prayer, and have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please, share your decision with your pastor or a Christian friend. And please drop me a note, so that I can rejoice with you and for you!
