God Loves Me Enough

The LORD hath appeared of
old unto me, saying, Yea,
I have loved thee with an
everlasting love: therefore
with lovingkindness have I
drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3

God loves me enough not to give me
Everything for which I yearn,
For He knows what’s best for me,
And that I’ve still got much to learn.

God loves me enough to not take away
Every trial in life I must face,
He knows that trials will make me strong,
And He sustains me by His grace.

God loves me enough to not accept
All my pitiful, lame excuses,
His Holy Spirit dwells in me,
To keep me from such abuses.

He loves me enough to chastise me,
When I choose to disobey;
He loves me enough to forgive me again,
And put me back on the right way.

So, whether life is going my way,
Or whether the going gets rough,
My God is always there for me,
And He always loves me enough!
