He Still Calms the Storm

And he arose, and rebuked
the wind, and said unto
the sea, Peace, be still.
And the wind ceased, and
there was a great calm.
Mark 4:39

When the night is dark and troubled,
With cause for true alarm,
Just keep your eyes on Jesus,
For He still calms the storm.

When fierce, wild winds are raging,
And lightning splits the air,
No need for fear or worry,
For He is always there.

When all around is trembling,
With no place to plant your feet...
When there's nothing left but Jesus,
You'll find He's all you need.

For He still quiets the wind and rain,
With a single soft command;
He still holds the raging seas
In His tender, nail-scarred hand.

No matter how ferocious,
The storms still obey His voice;
Even nature still obeys Him,
In that fact we can rejoice.

He has never once foraken us,
And He promised He never will.
He'll still calm our storms today
With a whispered, "Peace. Be still."

So trust in Him with all your heart,
He'll keep you safe from harm.
Just keep your eyes on Jesus,
For He still calms the storm.

Praise You, Jesus!
