The thief cometh not, but
to steal, and to kill, and
to destroy: I am come that
they might have life, and
have it more abundantly.

Each time that Jesus blesses,
Satan tries to steal my joy;
He is a thief, who only comes
To steal, kill and destroy. *
He tries, in every way he can,
To condemn, and criticize ---
He's nothing but a liar,
And the father of all lies! **
Satan is against me,
He tries to rule each day;
But when I call on Jesus,
The devil runs away!
I have the living Word of God,
To fight my battles for me;
I don't have to feel so helpless,
Satan has no power o'er me.
When I call on Jesus' name,
His banner is unfurled;
And greater is He that is in me,
Than he that is in the world! ***
Here and now, upon this earth,
Satan has no hold on me!
'Cause Jesus gives abundant life,
Now, and eternally! *
