Whenever I See A Rainbow

And GOD said,"This is the sign of
the covenant I am making between
me and you, and every living creature
that is with you, for all generations to
come. I have set my rainbow in the
clouds, and it will be the sign of the
covenant between me and the earth.
Genesis 9:12-13

Whenever I see a rainbow
In the heavens up above,
I'm reminded of God's promises
And His never-ending love.

The colors of the rainbow
Remind me of His majesty,
His loving grace and kindness
To a sinner such as me.

Red reminds me of Christ's blood
That was willingly shed for me;
Purple recalls that He rose again,
To live eternally.

Green reminds me of this earth
God so lovingly created;
Blue brings to mind my heav'nly home,
And the joys anticipated.

From east to west, the rainbow sweeps
Across the expanse of heaven;
To remind me of how far away
My sins are, once they're forgiven.

Whenever I see a rainbow,
I know I'll survive life's storms,
The rainbow is God's promise,
And I'm safe within His arms.
