I Understand
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isa. 55:8,9
I can't begin to understand The heighth of Your majesty; I only know that You created All the beauty my eyes can see.
I don't pretend to understand The depths of Your great love; So great is Your love, dear Jesus, You came from heaven above
To cleanse me from my wicked sin, To redeem, and set me free; Jesus, You did all that, and more, So great was Your love for me.
I really can't quite comprehend, The extent of Your Holiness; How deep Your goodness and purity, The width of Your righteousness.
Theses things are far above me, My wisdom is not that grand, To ponder these mysteries of God, I cannot fully understand.
But yet, I understand enough To know that You are everything: My Savior, my Lord, my Redeemer, My friend, my brother, my King.
And You alone, are worthy, Lord, Of glory, and honor, and praise; So I dedicate my life to You, And will worship You all my days.
And I understand enough to know, The great reward You have in store: When You'll bring me home to heaven, To dwell with You there evermore.
