Just Lean On Jesus

Come unto me, all you that labor
and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest. Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me; for I am meek and
lowly in heart: and you shall find
rest unto your souls. (Matt. 11:28-29)

I was beaten down and weary,
With problems all around,
I looked for help all over,
But there was no help to be found.
I said, "Lord, I just can't do this -
I'm not going to make it through.
This battle is too much for me,
Lord, what am I supposed to do?"

Jesus said, “My precious child,
You know you're never all alone,
Just lean on me a little while,
Till you can make it on your own.
Don't worry about tomorrow,
Learn to take life day by day,
Just lean on me a little while,
And I'll show you the way.”

At first it was hard to trust Him,
I've always been on my own
But learning to lean on Jesus,
Is the sweetest joy I've known!
Instead of wearing myself out,
I've learned to let Him carry me,
Through all life's storms and trials,
For He is the victory!

So when you're feeling overwhelmed,
And when life knocks you down,
Cast your burdens all on Jesus,
And watch Him turn it all around!
What Jesus has done in my life,
He is willing and able to do for you.
Learn to lean on Him, and trust Him,
And He will carry you through!
