It’s been so many years ago now,
Since you asked me to be your wife,
Through all these years together,
We’ve made the most out of life.

So once again we celebrate
That special day we said “I do”
And sweetheart, I hope you know
Just how much I love you!

I love you so much more today,
Than I did all those years ago;
For when we were young, and starting out,
How could we ever know

That all the living we have shared,
And all the things that we’ve gone through,
Would make our love much stronger,
And prove our love was true.

Until you’ve been through life together,
You can’t begin to realize,
How love grows and deepens,
And becomes a treasured prize.

The ups and downs, the good and bad,
When taken all together
Form a unique and special bond,
That nothing on earth can sever.

I love you dear with all my heart,
You mean the world to me,
I’ll love you for as long as I live,
And then throughout eternity.

I look forward to the rest of our lives,
And what the future holds in store;
So Happy anniversary, dearest Harold,
May God grant us many more!
