My Lord Knows What Each Day Will Bring


My Lord knows what each day will bring,
Everything that will transpire,
And He promised to go with me,
Though it be through flood or fire.

If this day is filled with sunshine,
I will sing glad songs of praise;
For each blessing is a treasure,
Sent to brighten up my days.

Should this day bring pain and suff’ring,
With the future looking grim,
He promised He’ll never forsake me,
I can safely trust in Him.

If I must go through trials and troubles,
He’ll give me strength to face the day,
Holding me in His loving arms,
He’ll be with me, all the way.

Even if death is waiting for me,
I’ll cling to my Savior’s hand-
For He’ll bring me straight to glory,
Leading me to the promised land.

I have placed my trust in Jesus,
Whatever this life holds in store;
No matter what the future holds,
I am His, forevermore!
