One Minute Past Death
And as it is appointed unto
men once to die, but after this
the judgment. (Hebrews 9:27)
Think about this, friend: where will you be,
One minute past death, into eternity?
Heaven or hell, which one will you see,
One minute past death, into eternity.
For each one of us will die one day,
And pass through death’s cold door,
Then one minute past death, we'll be facing
Either hell, or heaven’s bright shore.
One minute past death can be our reward,
Great peace, joy, and love there await,
If we’re redeemed by the blood of the Lamb,
We need not fear our eternal fate.
But if we’ve rejected the Son of God,
Then one minute past death, we’ll see,
Suffering we cannot begin to imagine,
Eternal torment, and sure misery.
Right now is when we have a choice,
We can still choose our final fate,
But if we wait until we are dead, alas
It will be forever too late.
So my friend, if you were to die tonight,
Please think about where you will be,
For you'll end up in either heaven or hell,
One minute past death, into eternity.
