Broken Vessel
To keep me from becoming conceited
because of these surpassingly great
revelations, there was given me a thorn
in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to
torment me. Three times I pleaded with
the Lord to take it away from me. But
He said to me, "My grace is sufficient
for you, for my power is made perfect
in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:7-8)

When you feel like a broken vessel,
And can't find the strength to go on,
When you've carried all your burdens
By yourself for way too long...
Learn to take your troubles to Jesus,
Learn to trust that He will step in,
Ask Him to carry your burdens,
And give you His peace deep within.
For His strength is made perfect in weakness,
Like those things that are troubling you,
You have to believe on His promises,
That His strength will get you through.
For the only way to grow in faith,
Is to be tested, don't you know?
If faith only lasts through good times,
There's no way for it to grow.
For faith that falters in the trials,
That leave you tempest-tossed,
Will very quickly fade away,
Making you feel broken and lost.
So when you feel like a broken vessel,
Trust Jesus, without any doubt,
You know His grace will be sufficient,
And somehow He will work it all out!
