Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

Now I lay me down to sleep,
But first there's something I must do,
Before I close my eyes tonight,
I need to talk to You.

So I kneel beside my bed, dear Lord,
And bow my head to pray,
Thanking You for all the blessings
You've given me today.

Then I tell you all my burdens,
Things that worry me so much;
I pray for all my loved ones,
Who may need Your tender touch,

I pray for healing of the sick,
And for those who are in need,
I pray that I'll be faithful
To follow where You lead.

Check my heart, dear Lord, I pray,
Cleanse me from any wrong,
I ask for Your forgiveness,
For any harm I've done.

Then as I finish up my prayers,
Knowing You are in control,
I can rest in peaceful slumber,
For all is well within my soul.
