A New YearChoose you this day whom
you will serve; but as for
me and my house, we will
serve the Lord. Jos.24:15
Here's another brand new year,
Another year, another chance
To learn to listen to the Lord,
In every circumstance.
A new year, with empty pages,
I can choose what I will write:
I can fill this year with good or bad,
With darkness, or with light.
Another year for me to learn
The things I must learn, myself;
Another year for me to show
God's love to someone else.
Father, please don't let me waste
The time that I have here;
Help me make the best I can
Of this most precious year.
Another year for me to grow,
Into what You would have me be;
Thank You for this brand new year,
And the love You've given me!
