I Am A Woman

Who can find a virtuous
woman? for her price is
far above rubies. The heart
of her husband does safely
trust in her...Her children
rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he
praises her. Prov.31:10,11,28

I am a wife, one half of a whole,
Loving with all of my heart and my soul,
With all of my body, all of my mind;
Sharing and caring, as God designed.
Not above, nor below you, but side by side,
Taking both good times and bad in stride.
Not greater than, nor lesser than, but equal to;
I'm glad to be a wife to you.

I am a mother, I've given birth
To three of the greatest treasures on earth.
Each one more precious to me than gold;
Three new little lives to shape and to mold.
They are a part of you, and a part of me,
Yet each has their own personality;
They're a symbol of our love for each other,
And I'm so proud to be their mother!

Yes, I am a woman, I have many roles,
My own secret dreams, my own special goals;
But the most important role in my life
Is being a good Christian mother and wife.
The way God intended right from the start:
The family's backbone; the family's heart.
Yes, I am a woman, and proud to be,
For a woman is the life of the family.
