Peace And Joy
Peace I leave with you,
my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not
your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.
I want to tell you all about
This Man that I call Lord,
You can meet Him in the pages
Of His precious Holy Word.
He made a difference in my life,
When He said He would forgive,
And that if Iíd just trust in Him,
Eternal life Heíd give!
He never said I wouldnít go
Through flood or fire, itís true;
But He promised Heíd be with me,
And would see me safely through.
My Lord has given His Word,
And there isnít any doubt:
The waters canít sweep me away,
And the fire canít burn me out!
He said, "My yoke is easy,
And my burden very light;
You can do it if youíll trust
In my great power and might,
For I never will forsake you,
Nor leave you all alone,
And youíll find me waiting for you,
When your time on earth is done!"
Thatís why I want to tell the world
What Jesus did for me,
He took me off the road to hell,
And set my spirit free.
He took away my burdens,
Gave me peace and joy within,
Thatís why I sing His praises,
And testify for Him!
